Farmers Branch, Texas · English / Español
Tax preparation in Farmers Branch, in English or Spanish.
I'm Janet. I prepare personal, self-employed and small business returns for families and workers in Farmers Branch, and fully remotely for anyone who prefers it. You deal with one person from the first question to the filed return, in the language you prefer.
What I help with
- Personal tax returns: W-2 jobs, families and dependents, retirement income
- Self-employed, 1099 and side income: rideshare, delivery, cleaning, trades, beauty
- Small businesses: LLCs, partnerships and S corporations
- Past years, or fixing a return you already filed
- A letter from the IRS, such as a CP2000
- Planning ahead and estimated payments
Good to know for the 2027 season
- Your 2026 return is due Thursday, April 15, 2027.
- Texas has no state income tax, so most people in Farmers Branch file only a federal return.
- If you claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit, the law does not let the IRS send your refund before mid-February, even if you file in January.
What to have ready
- A photo ID, and the Social Security or ITIN number of everyone on the return
- Every W-2 and 1099 you received
- Last year's tax return, if you have it
- Childcare costs and the provider's details, if you paid for childcare
- Form 1095-A, if you had Marketplace health insurance
- Any letter from the IRS
- Your bank's routing and account number, for a direct-deposit refund
The request form on this site never asks for a Social Security number.
How it works
- Send a request Answer a few questions on this site. Phone photos of your documents are fine.
- Hear what is missing I reply with exactly which papers I still need, nothing more.
- Review, then file I prepare your return, go over it with you, and file it once you approve.
Questions
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. Every step can be in Spanish: this website, the request form, our emails and the review of your return.
Do I have to come to an office?
No. You can send everything online, including photos taken with your phone, and we can go over your return remotely.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your forms and situation. You get a quote before any work starts.
When will I get my refund?
The IRS issues most electronic refunds in less than 21 days. Returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit are held until mid-February by law.
I haven't filed in a few years. Can you help?
Yes. Past-year returns are filed one year at a time, and many people catch up on every missing year together. See past-year and amended returns.
